As a Kelowna family photographer, my job to help your family relaxed and be able to be yourselves. In order to authentic portraits of your family, you need to be able to feel free to act naturally and freely. I use prompts and suggestions to help your family tune into your own relationships. I'll make sure that you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and hopefully you'll even start to forget that I'm even there taking pictures and you enjoy your time together as a family. While I do make sure we get at least one or two "smiling at the camera" shots, I put more emphasis on capturing the real life moments that portray who your family really is. The kids get to play, run, laugh and have fun. I'm here to make it as easy and effortless as possible!
If you're looking for a lifestyle newborn photography session that captures all the details and love of those first few precious weeks, you'll love working with me. It's extra special when we have already gotten to know each other with a maternity photography session. My lifestyle newborn sessions don't have a specific time limit so that we can take our time and not feel rushed. We are all on baby's schedule! Lifestyle newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your own home. I photograph baby alone, baby with siblings, baby with mom & dad, and baby with the whole family. I want to see the real feelings and see real life. While I do bring a few props, lifestyle newborn sessions are more simple and minimalistic than a traditional newborn photoshoot, providing the memories you'll want to look back upon as your little treasure grows up.

STEP ONE
We will meet for shoot and get some great images! I use a workflow that will capture some basics like standing together & sitting together, then we will use prompts to get some creative shots of your connection as a family. Walking together, exploring, playing together- it will feel natural and fun!
STEP TWO
Within 2 weeks you will receive your gallery to pick your favorites that are included in your package! Your favorites will be edited, skin lightly retouched, and you'll receive your final gallery. You can purchase prints, enlargements, canvases, and frames right from your online gallery or download them as many times as you'd like in full quality.

I am a mother of 3 little boys, two of which are identical twins. They have endless energy, giggles, smiles and mischievous ideas. They are the reason for the love in my heart and the coffee in my cup! As a mom, I know the importance of family photos. The time has already gone by so fast. The days are long, but the years are short! I'm so thankful for the family photos that we have collected over the years.
It has been my goal to create the perfect family photography experience- whether it be a maternity, newborn or family session. The experience is child-led and activity based. Rather than posing your family and expecting your little kids with their boundless energy to cooperate, I will give you prompts of things to do and then sneakily capture all the fun that you are having. This helps relax your family and lets you have fun in your photo session.
Make family photographs a priority- you won't get a chance to go back and take them again once they're all grown up!
